Srinagar, Oct 7: A CME cum workshop was organized here in GMC Srinagar today which was attended by eminent national and regional experts, faculty members, and young researchers, creating a vibrant platform for academic exchange and skill-building.

During a day-long programme, the participants including clinicians, biochemists, medical lab technologists and researchers gained hands-on training in key laboratory techniques that comprise automated capillary electrophoresis, ELISA, ECLIA and Multimode Reader Assays for metabolic disorders.

The workshop was inaugurated by Principal/Dean, GMC Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, who lauded the department for its pioneering role in translating molecular and genetic technologies into clinical and public health practice. She emphasised the importance of early detection. and intervention in reducing the burden of inherited and metabolic disorders among newborns. She complimented the organizers for their tireless efforts in organizing this event.
