Bilaliya’s Pride: Bakir clinches gold in snowshoe run at Khelo India Winter Games

Srinagar, Mar 12: Bakir Owais Kakroo delivered a stellar performance at the 5th Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg, securing a gold medal in the Junior Category (3 km Snow Run) during the Snowshoe Demo Run.

Representing Bilaliya Educational Institute, Kakroo’s win, as per a press release, highlighted the school’s growing prominence in winter sports as students showcased remarkable endurance and sportsmanship in the prestigious event.

The final day event was attended by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Chief Minister of J&K, Omar Abdullah, J&K’s sports minister, and other top officials from the region.
