Bhaderwah, May 30: In a key initiative aimed at revitalising tourism in the Chenab Valley region, the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) convened a stakeholders’ meeting at Tilligarh Resort, bringing together hoteliers, homestay operators, travel agents, and other local service providers.

The meeting marked the first official interaction between the tourism fraternity and the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of BDA, **Sunil K. Bhutyal**, who also holds charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah.

Focused on identifying challenges and opportunities, the session provided a platform for participants to share pressing concerns related to infrastructure, cleanliness, connectivity, and marketing. Stakeholders stressed the need for improved road conditions, better promotional outreach, and tourist-friendly facilities to attract more visitors to the scenic destination.

“The administration is committed to resolving your issues and working in close coordination with all stakeholders to promote Bhaderwah as a premier tourist hub,” said Bhutyal, emphasising the importance of community-led initiatives.

Security at tourist accommodations, strict hygiene standards, and a professional code of conduct for all service providers were highlighted as immediate priorities. Attendees also called for integrated promotional campaigns and smoother management of tourist inflows during peak seasons.
