Being stopped from meeting people: Mehbooba Mufti
Srinagar, May 9: PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today alleged that Jammu and Kashmir administration is preventing her to reach Parliament by stopping her from meeting people in Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary constituency.
She was addressing a public meeting at Fateh Kadal here. Mehbooba said, “People of J&K are much disappointed due to the decision taken on August 5, 2019 and atmosphere being created afterwards. New Delhi is imposing graveyard like peace in Jammu and Kashmir which, however, is unacceptable for us.”
Alleging that administration is not providing her level play field, the PDP President said that from quite sometime some incidents have been started in south Kashmir, just to prevent “me to reach Parliament.” She said while proxies of BJP are being supported, the PDP and NC are being stopped to carry out election campaign.
PDP President alleged that BJP is focusing on religious matters and talking about “mangalsutra,” “Hindu-Muslim” like issues just to make the communities fight with each other. She said that people are aware of their intentions in raking up religious issues and have realised the party will not do anything better for country and it’s people.
