Being stopped from meeting people, alleges Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar, May 09: PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Thursday alleged that Jammu and Kashmir administration is preventing her to reach Parliament by stopping her from meeting people in Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat.

Addressing public meeting in Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar, Mehbooba said people of J&K are much disappointed due to the decision taken on August 05, 2019 and atmosphere being created afterwards. She alleged that New Delhi is imposing graveyard like peace in Jammu and Kashmir which however is unacceptable for us.

Alleging administration for not providing her level play field, Mehbooba Mufti said that from quite sometime encounters have been started in south Kashmir, just to prevent me to reach Parliament. She said J&K administration and police are supporting proxies of BJP, while PDP and NC are being stopped to carry out election campaign.

PDP President alleged that BJP is focusing on religious matters and talking about ‘mangalsutra’, 'Hindu-Muslim' like issues just to make the communities fight with each other. She said that people are aware of their intentions in raking up religious issues and have realized the party won’t do anything better for country and it's people. “BJP only knows to make Hindu & Muslim fight to each other, and to keep the pot boiling,” she said.

She said if BJP will be re-elected to power at the centre it will end the constitution.
