'Beautiful experience': Sachin Tendulkar shares memorable moments from Kashmir trip
Srinagar, Feb 28: Renowned former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar took to social media on Wednesday to share a glimpse of his recent visit to Kashmir with his wife Anjali and daughter Sara.
In a video shared on a micro-blogging site, Tendulkar expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and breathtaking beauty of Jammu and Kashmir. He described the trip as a "beautiful experience" that will be cherished forever.
"Jammu and Kashmir will remain a beautiful experience etched in my memory. There was snow all around but we felt warm because of people’s exceptional hospitality," Tendulkar tweeted.
During his visit, Tendulkar met with para-cricketer Amir Hussain Lone from Jammu and Kashmir and presented him with a bat bearing his signature.
In the video, Tendulkar highlighted his favorite moments from the trip, including an aerial view of the Himalayas, a visit to a willow bat factory, interactions with artisans of Pashmina shawls, savoring Kashmiri tea and food, visits to temples, experiencing snowfall, meeting Indian Army soldiers, and enjoying a Shikara ride.
Tendulkar also visited the Aman Setu bridge in the Uri sector, the last point on the Line of Control, where he interacted with army personnel. He also engaged in a game of roadside cricket with local youngsters in Uri.
In his post, Tendulkar encouraged people worldwide to visit Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as one of the many jewels of Incredible India.
