Be vigilant against emerging terror threats in hinterland: Northern Army Commander
Jammu, Nov 16: General Officer Commanding-in Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, while reviewing security situation in Udhampur district, has asked the troops to remain vigilant against emerging terror threats in the hinterland.
He was assessing the operational preparedness of the troops while reviewing the counter terrorism grid in Basantgarh and Rampur areas the other day.
The Northern Army Commander also commended the commitment of the troops to keep Jammu and Kashmir terror-free.
“Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC, visited Basantgarh and Rampur to review the counter terrorism grid. #ArmyCdrNC exhorted all ranks to remain vigilant and proactive against emerging threats in the hinterland. During the visit he also interacted with troops, lauding their professionalism and unwavering commitment to keep #JammuKashmir terror free,” the Northern Command shared in its post on the social media.
Earlier on November 14, he had visited Nowshera and Bhimber Gali sectors in Rajouri district to review operational preparedness.
There also, Lt Gen Sharma interacted with troops along the Line of Control, commending their high morale, professionalism and sustained operational efficiency.
He was briefed on enhanced surveillance systems, precision engagement capabilities and future-ready operational measures instituted to maintain a robust defensive posture.
