Barring border zones, educational institutions to resume class work in north Kashmir districts today
Baramulla, May 13: All the educational institutions in Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara district will resume their routine class work from May 14 of 2024 barring few border zones of the districts.
The educational institutions were earlier closed in wake of the cross border shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB). Barring border districts, the routine class work in educational institutions resumed from May 13 in all districts across J&K. However, after taking a review of the situation, the educational institutions in north Kashmir districts and non-border areas of Jammu division will resume from Wednesday.
"All the government and private schools of Zone Gurez shall remain closed on May 14 of 2025 as a precautionary measure. However, teachers will resume their duties," CEO Bandipora said.
However, he said that the schools in all other zones of the district Bandipora shall resume their routine class work from May 14.
"Routine class work in all government and private schools except Karnah, Keran, Machil, Budnamal and Kumkadi will resume from May 14 of 2025," CEO Kupwara informed.
Similarly, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla said that all the government and private schools of subdivision Uri- Jhulla, Chandanwari and Boniyar will remain closed on May 14 of 2025 as a precautionary measure. "However, schools in other Zones of Bla Distt shall resume routine class work," CEO Baramulla said.
Meanwhile, the School Education Department (SED) wrote on its official X handle that all the government and private schools in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch and Samba districts will remain closed on May 14, 2025.
"However, all government and private schools in district Udhampur, Bani, Basholi, Mahanpur, Bhaddu, Malhar and Billawar zones of district Kathua shall open May 14, 2025," the SED post reads.
