Baramulla, Jan 7: In a remarkable achievement, students from the Chinar Yuva Centre Baramulla showcased exceptional talent at the 6th J&K UT Karate Championship held in Jammu. The students during the event exhibited talent and teamwork, with a team of 11 young athletes bringing home an impressive haul of accolades, including two gold, six silver, and two bronze medals. The young champions were felicitated in a ceremony at the Chinar Yuva Centre Baramulla, with Brigadier Rajat Mohan Bhatt, Commander of the 19 Artillery Brigade Baramulla, lauding their outstanding performance and encouraging them to aim for international platforms.

"Your performance in the competition is the reflection of your strength and potential. There is so much talent in the valley. Your efforts and dedication lead you to bigger stages at international level," he said.

He said at Chinar Yuva, they will continue to identify the young talent and nurture them to create their niche on bigger platforms.

One of the athletes, Arsheeda, who won the gold medal in the under 45 kg category, attributed her success to the support and training she received from her coach.

“This medal does not only belong to me. It belongs to my family, my coaches, and my community. I am grateful for all the guidance and encouragement I received here," she said.

Another student, Pakeeza, who won a medal in the 65 kg category, said the reward has set her wings open to participate and showcase her strength at bigger platforms.

“This is just the beginning for me. I will continue to perform and prove my mettle at national and international stages," she said.
