Baramulla admin sets up control room to mitigate drinking water crisis

Baramulla, July 25: Following the drinking water crisis caused by the prolonged dry spell, the Baramulla district administration Thursday set up a control room to address the issue of the drinking water supply crisis.

As per the order, six officials would work round the clock in the newly established control room and attend to all the grievances of the people regarding the non-availability of drinking water in their respective areas.

The six officials who would be part of the newly-established control room

include Assistant Engineer PHE, Division, Sopore, Izhar-ul-Haq (8899992801); Assistant Engineer, Hydraulic Division, Uri, Buran-ud-Din (8825054833); Junior Engineer FBI Division, Tangmarg, Tawheed Ahmad (7780931348); Junior Engineer, PHE Division Baramulla, Imtiyaz Ali Dar (7889409359), Junior Assistant, Hydraulic Circle Baramulla, Tariq Jhan (7006713715) and Incharge Control Room DC Office Baramulla, Mehraj-ud-Din Dar.

The control room has been set up at a time when reports of drinking water crises are being reported from most parts of the Baramulla district.
