Bangladeshi national apprehended from Khour

Jammu, May 26:   The Army has apprehended one Bangladeshi national from Lower Kot Maira in Khour along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu.

Officials said, “On May 25, 2024, at around 2.30 pm, a person, who seemed to be a beggar, was caught from Lower Kot Maira (Khour) by a patrolling party of the army. After initial investigation by the Army, he was handed over to the Police Post, Pallanwala at 5.30 pm.”

“During the interrogation, the apprehended person disclosed his name as Tuffajjal Bablu. Around 35 or 36 years of age, a resident of Alupotti Natore, Bangladesh, the person seems to be mentally unstable,” they said.

According to officials, a Rs 10 note (Bangladeshi currency); Re 1 coin (Bangladeshi currency); 3 SIMs of unknown company; a bill; an old student card and an old diary were recovered from his possession. “Further investigation by police is going on,” officials said.
