Baldev Singh, Neetu Bali felicitated for their entrepreneurial prowess
Srinagar, Apr 4: Entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir, Baldev Singh and Neetu Bali were honoured at a book launch ceremony organized by the India Today group for their book titled "The Sikhs - Our Heroes & Pride of India."
The event was graced by the Governor of Punjab, Banwarilal Purohit, who served as the chief guest. He was warmly welcomed by S. Sahay Ranjeet, Managing Editor, Anilesh S. Mahajan, Deputy Editor, and Rajesh Malik on behalf of the India Today Group. In his speech, the Punjab Governor congratulated the celebrated entrepreneurs, and their families, and appreciated their immense role in entrepreneurship and significant contributions to the nation's growth. He acknowledged that the Sikh community, despite being a minority, has made a significant impact both in India and around the world, and their tradition of "sewa" (selfless service) inspires many.
Earlier, the Editor of India Today highlighted that the book chronicles the stories of Sikh business leaders and that the Sikh community, despite being a small percentage of India's population, has made remarkable contributions to the country's rich heritage. The spirit of "sewa," instilled from a young age, transcends borders, and the Sikhs have scripted tales of achievement across diverse domains, intricately woven into the growth and evolution of the nation.
