Badminton kits distributed among students to promote sports in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 23: In a bid to promote sports and fitness among girl students, the 161 Bn of the CRPF distributed badminton kits to students of Government Higher Secondary School, Palpora, on Thursday, encouraging them to take up the sport and lead active, healthy lives.

As per a statement issued, the event was held at the school premises, under the aegis of Balihar Singh, Commandant, 161 Bn, CRPF, who handed over the badminton kits comprising rackets, shuttlecocks, and sports gear to the enthusiastic participants.

Earlier, on 15th August this year, 161 Bn, CRPF, donated a complete sports equipment set of volleyballs and conducted a Tiranga Yatra with the students of the same school. The statement added that the programme reflected the commitment to empowering girls through sports and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. The students were excited and motivated to make the best use of the kits and excel in badminton.
