Azad urges govt to ensure electricity, ration in snow bound areas

Srinagar, Feb 1: Former chief minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party ( DPAP) chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad today urged the government to ensure electricity supply and ration in snow bound areas.

According to a press release, despite snow and rain, Azad visited his party office here. He urgently appealed to Governor Manoj Sinha for essential provisions like electricity and ration, emphasising the need for additional relief to mitigate the impact of snow on vulnerable communities.

Azad said, "I am delighted that snow has arrived; people were eagerly anticipating it. However, the government must ensure proper arrangements to navigate its effects.” he met with various deputations, attentively listening to their concerns and grievances. The DPAP chairman assured them that he would raise these issues and ensure they are addressed. Simultaneously, numerous activists from various parties joined DPAP, pledging to bolster the party and advocate for public concerns.
