Axis Bank opens 30th branch in Kashmir at Chanapora

Srinagar, Jan 27: Axis Bank, one of India’s leading private sector banks, on Tuesday inaugurated its new branch at Chanapora in Srinagar, marking a key milestone with the opening of its 30th branch in Kashmir. The expansion reflects the bank’s continued focus on strengthening its footprint across Jammu and Kashmir and advancing inclusive banking and financial empowerment in the region.

The branch was inaugurated by renowned businessman and Chairman J&K Hoteliers Club Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, while MLA Chanapora Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour. The inauguration was also witnessed by Gowhar Sheikh, Cluster Head, Axis Bank, and senior bank official Adil Hassan Shah, besides local residents, traders and customers.

The opening of this branch will make banking services more accessible to residents, traders and professionals, and will help strengthen economic activity in the constituency,” he said.

These include savings and current accounts, cash credit facilities, home loans, loans against property, gold loans, car loans, personal loans, education loans and commercial vehicle loans.
