Kangan, Dec 19: As part of Good Governance Week, the District Administration Ganderbal conducted awareness programmes and grievance redressal camps in various tehsil and blocks of district on Thursday.

In connection with “Good Governance Week” being celebrated from December 19 to December 25, an awareness programme was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary school Gund which was attended by officials of various departments besides members of civil society, traders and local residents.

The programme was aimed with special focus on disposal of public grievances and apprising citizens about various government welfare schemes and public services. Speaking about the Good Governance Week, the officials said the weeklong activities are aimed to improve the public services delivery mechanism across the district and achieve 100 percent saturation under different schemes, besides to sensitise citizens about government initiatives by way of conducting awareness camps.

Officials from the revenue department made people aware about how to register and get various benefits from the digital platforms of the department. Tehsildar Gund, BDO Gund and other officials attended the programme.
