Awareness drive on government schemes draws crowds in Lucknow
Lucknow, Jan 3: In a vibrant display of community engagement, the Yoganand Girls Inter College in the Raja Ji Puram area of Lucknow hosted an informative gathering as part of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The event aimed to raise awareness about various government schemes witnessed an enthusiastic participation from the local community.
The focal point of the event was an LED screen-adorned vehicle disseminating information on a range of government initiatives.
Also, various stalls were strategically placed on the venue, offering detailed insights into schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Swachh Bharat Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, Old Age, Disabled, Widow Pension, and Aadhaar card updates.
Government officials, along with elected representatives from local municipalities and assembly members, actively engaged with the local community members.
They provided information about the schemes, answered queries, and facilitated pledges.
Apart from this, the individuals had the opportunity to directly gather information about central schemes and register for various initiatives at different stalls.
The Department of Food and Civil Supplies (FCS) oversaw the execution of online ration cards and conducted an awareness campaign on fortified rice. Similarly, the Department of Social Welfare addressed issues related to pensions and women's empowerment, including registering diseases in livestock. The department also participated in the National Livestock Mission and facilitated registrations for investment in the dairy sector.
Lead Bank played a crucial role by providing information about 953 branches of 41 banks in the Lucknow district. Registrations were also underway for loan disbursement under the PM Washikarma scheme.
