Awareness camp on self-employment schemes organised at Gool

Ramban, Aug 11: On the directions of District Development Commissioner RAMBAN Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) Ramban organised an awareness camp at Gool Residency in the Gool town of district Ramban.

This camp, held in collaboration with the Block Development Office (BDO) Gool, aimed to educate unemployed youth about self-employment schemes under the Mission Youth initiative of Government of Jammu and Kashmir and provide them with resources to kickstart their Entrepreneurship career.

Lovepreet Singh, Youth Professional from DECC Ramban, along with Waseem Shan, addressed the public gathering and delivered detailed demonstrations on the self-employment schemes available under the Mission Youth program which includes Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative.

They meticulously explained the application process, eligibility requirements, and the various benefits these schemes offer, encouraging the local youth to take proactive steps towards self-reliance. More than 80 youth were present in the camp and 12 registrations were made on the spot for self employment schemes.

In addition to the discussions on self-employment, the camp also provided insights into employment-related services, including the JK Employment Portal and the National Career Service (NCS) Portal. These platforms are designed to assist job seekers by offering job listings, career counseling, and skill development programs.

The DECC Ramban's initiative, in collaboration with the BDO office Gool, was well-received by the participants, who expressed their gratitude for the comprehensive guidance provided.
