Authorities seal 2 fuel stations in Kupwara over quantity irregularities

Kupwara, Oct 14: Authorities on Tuesday sealed two petrol outlets in Lalpora, Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after they were found involved in fuel quantity tampering.
An official said that following public complaints, an inspection team led by Tehsildar Lalpora Dr Masroor Gayas, along with Inspector of Legal Metrology Department Tanveer Ahmad, SHO Sogam Javid Ahmad, TSO Dooniwari, and other officials, visited the outlets and confirmed the allegations. Both outlets were sealed on the spot.

The official added that the petrol stations were cheating customers by dispensing less fuel than what they were being charged for. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the outlets in accordance with the law.
