Authorities airlift critical patients from snowbound Karnah

Kupwara, Mar 2: Authorities in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Sunday afternoon airlifted two critical patients from snowbound Karnah, ensuring they receive specialised treatment.

During the evacuation operation Rohail Mir, a 15-year-old from Kharwapra, and 18-month-old Bibi Sana from Kona Gabra were airlifted after doctors at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Karnah referred them to Srinagar for better treatment. Both the patients after reaching Kupwara, boarded an ambulance to reach Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Karnah, Keran, Machil, and other higher reaches remained cut off from district headquarters for the fifth consecutive day, putting locals to inconvenience.
