Ladakh, Jul 4: In a bid to bridge India’s digital divide, the ASUS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of ASUS India, has donated computing devices to set up fully functional computer labs at Jamyang School and Rigjung School in Ladakh. The initiative aims to enhance digital literacy and provide students with hands-on access to modern educational technology.

The donation includes All-in-One (AIO) systems and ASUS consumer laptops, complemented by an educational drive led by ASUS volunteers. Students were introduced to basic computing skills and AI tools, empowering them with 21st-century skills from an early age.

A special inauguration ceremony was held on June 4 at both schools to mark the formal opening of the new computer labs. These dedicated digital learning spaces will offer structured computer education and serve as hubs for tech-driven skill development.

The engagement extended beyond donations. ASUS volunteers conducted interactive demo sessions, walking students through the fundamentals of hardware, software, and artificial intelligence. The session concluded with hands-on activities to ensure practical learning and sustained interest.

Through ASUS Foundation, we’re working to ensure students across India—especially in underserved regions—gain access to meaningful digital-first academic experiences. Setting up computer labs is a step toward equipping the next generation with future-ready skills.”
