Jammu, July 16: Union Minister for Coal and Mines and election in-charge for J&K BJP G Kishan Reddy Tuesday exhorted UT party rank and file, particularly its Morcha leaders, to immerse themselves to ensure BJP’s victory and realise its objective of forming government on its own after assembly elections.

“Union Minister, who is also our election in-charge, chaired a day-long training programme for presidents, members and workers of seven Morchas of J&K BJP. He (Reddy) reiterated that the party leaders and workers needed to go full throttle to focus on organisational expansion,” BJP general secretary and former minister, Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal told Greater Kashmir.

“As the party has already been in election mode; they (workers and office-bearers of these Morchas) were given inputs for organising Sammelans or rallies in each assembly segment. Inputs relate to the theme of Sammelans, points to be deliberated; issues, programmes and agenda of the party to be highlighted in Sammelans,” Dr Manyal said, while explaining the significance of day-long workshop in the wake of ensuing assembly elections.

“Two leaders are deputed by the central leadership for this training programme (workshop). We had our election in-charge (Reddy) and in-charge J&K affairs (Tarun Chugh) with us in the training programme which commenced at 10.30 am and continued till 5.30 pm,” he said.

“The duo, while addressing the party office-bearers, Morcha leaders and workers, asked them to reach out to masses with the organisation's good work, welfare policies and programmes delivered on ground in the past ten years or so. Party leaders will have to cover each and every part of all assembly segments, with no section of society left behind – was the direction,” Dr Manyal said.
