Assembly elections in J&K before Sep 2024: Tarun Chugh

Srinagar, Feb 10: BJP National General Secretary and In-Charge J&K Tarun Chugh Saturday said that the Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir would be held before September 2024.

A local news gathering agency KNS quoted Chugh as saying that it is the Election Commission of India (ECI) that has to take a final call on its schedule.

Chugh said that the BJP was ready for elections and wants Assembly elections in J&K at the earliest.

He said that though the ECI had to take a final call on the election schedule, it was already decided that elections would take place before September 2024.
