Army officer killed in Doda encounter, operation on
Srinagar, Aug 14: An army officer was killed in an ongoing gunfight in the Assar area of the Jammu's Patnitop area, sources said Wednesday.
The army said that the officer was injured during a search operation in the area even as they have recovered "war like stores" from the spot.
"Op Assar: Update Search for the terrorists continues amidst heavy firefight. One officer has been injured while leading the search party. War like stores have been recovered as operations continue," army's White Knight Corps posted on their official X-handle.

The injured officer as per sources has been identified as Captain Deepak.

However, reports said that the captain succumbed while as the operation is underway.
