Ashraf Hakak joins as administrator associated hospitals

Srinagar, Jan 6: Mohammad Ashraf Hakak today joined as administrator of associated hospitals of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar

Hakak was appointed administrator during a recent administrative shuffle. He told Greater Kashmir that a new position comes with new challenges and responsibilities.

" I have already worked in healthcare.  Health sector plays a very crucial role. I ensure the continued delivery of quality healthcare services to the people,” he said.

A delegations of doctors, hospital administrators, and support staff expressed their hope for enhanced understanding within the hospital hierarchy, particularly regarding the crucial roles of various technical positions in facilitating prompt and effective patient treatment.

"We look for better understanding for patient care management , within the hierarchy of hospital administration and importance of various technical posts within hospitals and departments for prompt management of patient care," they said.

Later , administrator, Associated Hospitals called on Principal and Dean GMC Srinagar who welcomed him and exchanged pleasantries and hoped for better understanding of roles , responsibilities of various officers,  ultimately aiming for a collective improvement in patient care across all associated hospitals..

Meanwhile, in a joining ceremony held at Government Medical College, anassembly of key officials extended a warm welcome to the  newly appointed administrator.

The gathering included Dr Waseem Qureshi, Registrar Academics; Yasmeena Jan, Personnel Officer; Sabreena, Chief Accounts Officer; Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Administrative Officer; Showkat Ahmad, Assistant Legal Remembrancer; Shabir Ahmad, Assistant Director Planning; Javeed Ahmad Shah, Estates Cum Transport Officer, Mukhtar Ahmad Dar, Private Secretary to the Administrator and Khalid Subhan Wani.
