New Delhi, Mar 11: Aseefa Bhutto, daughter of Pakistan's newly-appointed President Asif Ali Zardari and the late former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is poised to assume the role of the country's First Lady, as per reports from Pakistani media. This marks a significant departure from tradition, being the first time in Pakistan's history that a president's daughter, rather than his wife, is granted this official designation.

At 31 years old, Aseefa is the youngest offspring of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan's Prime Minister, and Asif Ali Zardari, who has served as the country's President on two occasions. A familiar presence alongside President Zardari over the past decade, Aseefa has steadily ascended the political hierarchy within the influential Bhutto-Zardari dynasty.

During President Zardari's swearing-in ceremony at the President's House in Islamabad, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari was by his side, marking her formal entry into the role.
