Srinagar, Oct 2: Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh, today organised its 18th Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni” at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, near Chandigarh.

Thousands of students from various programmes—including B.Tech, B. Pharma, Physiotherapy, Paramedical, MBA, LL.B, BA-LL.B, BBA, BCA, B.Com, GNM, ANM, B.Sc (Agri), BA, B.Ed, MA (Edu), and Diploma—participated in a variety of cultural activities.

The function commenced with Saraswati Vandana, performed by Pankaj Upadhyay and group. Students showcased their talents through lively and exuberant performances of various folk dances, including Rajasthani and Bhojpuri dances by Aman and group, a folk dance by Charanjeet, and Giddha by Khushpreet and group. Solo dance performances, folk orchestras, and folk songs were equally engaging.

Zaheer from Jammu and his group performed a Dogri dance, highlighting the culture of Jammu and Kashmir. A modeling segment featuring North Eastern attire had the audience clapping repeatedly. The Nati performed by Sachin and group, along with a Bihari dance by Amit and group, mesmerized the audience.

Bhangra by Jasgam and group enthralled the audience with popular Punjabi music and dance. Comedy skits by Ishan and group, as well as Anand and group, refreshed the mood of the audience, bringing laughter throughout the event. Students showcased their modeling skills, sashaying down the ramp in various cultural attires.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, speaking on the occasion, noted that the Aryans Group has students from all over India studying in various courses. He emphasized that the students presented their respective cultures through their dances during the function. He added that, besides academics, extracurricular activities are equally important, as they contribute to the overall development of the students.
