Aryans Group of Colleges, Livasa Hospital Mohali sign MoU
Srinagar, May 16: For strengthening industry-academia collaboration in healthcare education, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura near Chandigarh, Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Livasa Hospital, Mohali.
A statement of Aryans Groups of Colleges issued here said that the MoU aims to enhance clinical training opportunities, internships, and placement prospects for healthcare students.
The formal signing ceremony witnessed representation from both institutions.
Livasa Hospital was represented by AGM HR and Group Head Talent Acquisition, Neha Rampal and Deputy Manager HR, Harpreet Singh Saini.
From Aryans Institute of Nursing, Principal Nidhi Chopra and Nursing Coordinator Himanshi were present.
The collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical instruction and practical exposure for students pursuing various healthcare programmes.
Speaking on the occasion, Nidhi Chopra highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying, ìThe MoU aims to provide hands-on clinical exposure to our students, thereby aligning their academic learning with real-world experience. As per WHO estimates, the world will face a shortage of 10 million health workers by 2030. This partnership will help address that gap by equipping students with essential skills and industry expertise.î
The MoU comes shortly after the Aryans Group of Colleges received the award for Excellence in Paramedical and Nursing Education.
The recognition was conferred by the Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria, with Punjabís Education Minister, S Harjot Singh Bains attending the event as the Guest of Honour.
Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges, Anshu Kataria received the award on behalf of the institution.
Aryans Institute of Nursing presently offers several programs including BSc Nursing, GNM, and ANM. These are approved by the Punjab Government and Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, and affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, and Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Mohali.
In addition to nursing programmes, the institution runs paramedical courses in Radiology, Cardiac Care, Operation Theatre, Anesthesia, and Medical Life Sciences under the aegis of IKGPTU, Jalandhar.
The B Pharma and Physiotherapy programmes are affiliated with MRSPTU, Bathinda, and recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.
D Pharma is approved by the Punjab Government.
Moreover, certificate-level vocational courses such as Home Care Helper, Operation Theatre Attendant, Ambulance Attendant, and Hospital Attendant are also offered under Punjab Government certification.
This collaboration marks a progressive move towards practical skill-building and improved employability for healthcare students, reinforcing Aryans Groupís commitment to quality education and professional excellence.
