Aryans Group holds Shikara race at Dal Lake to cheer Team India in Asia Cup final
Srinagar, Sep 28: Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh, organised its 8th Shikara Race at Dal Lake on Sunday, turning the iconic water body into a festive arena as students paddled with banners wishing Team India good luck ahead of the Asia Cup final.
As per a statement, the race was flagged off by Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges.
Carrying vibrant banners reading “Aryans Wishes India Good Luck for Asia Cup Final”, students of Aryans from Engineering, Law, MBA, BCA, BBA and other programmes turned the iconic Dal Lake into a hub of excitement and festivity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kataria said, “Cricket unites our nation beyond all boundaries. Our students are not only excelling in academics but are also actively participating in cultural and national celebrations. This Shikara Race at Dal Lake is a symbol of the love, pride, and respect our youth carry for Team India.”
On the occasion, Dr Garima Thakur, Ms Manpreet Maan, Er Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, Er Rayees, and Er Jahangir Rashid, along with other faculty members, were present.
