"In two days, I will resign as Chief Minister. I will not sit on that chair until the people announce their verdict," Kejriwal stated as reported by NDTV. "Elections in Delhi are still months away. I got justice from the legal court, now I will get justice from the people's court."

Kejriwal, leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), expressed his intent to contest the upcoming elections based on public opinion. "I want to ask the people of Delhi: is Kejriwal innocent or guilty? If I have worked, vote for me," he said, adding that a meeting of AAP MLAs will be convened within the next two days to select the new Chief Minister for Delhi.

Kejriwal also said that a party member would be appointed as the next Chief Minister while he seeks the people's mandate. He also called for Delhi's elections, originally set for February, to be advanced to November, aligning with Maharashtra's polls.
