ARTO Bandipora conducts road safety awareness program

Srinagar, Jan 7: As part of the ongoing observance of National Road Safety Month 2026, the Office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Bandipora organised a Road Safety Awareness Program aimed at promoting safe driving practices and sensitizing commercial drivers about strict adherence to traffic rules.

A large number of commercial vehicle drivers participated in the programme, during which they were briefed on the importance of following traffic signs, speed regulations, use of safety devices, and overall responsible driving behaviour as mandated under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, said a press release.
