Article 370 will come back through federal solution: Sajad Lone

Kupwara, Sep 08: People’s Conference (PC) Chairman Sajad Gani Lone Sunday said that Article 370 would certainly come back one day through a “federal solution”.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of an election campaign in the Kachihama area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, he said that it had been very dear to everyone.

Taking a dig at National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah, Lone said that he should have some shame when he says that those contesting against him were with BJP or the “agencies”.“Omar Abdullah should stop labelling people with BJP. Instead, he should tell the solution and there happens to be only one solution that no one should contest against him,” he said.

“Instead of labelling people, he should come up with a solution on what he will do for the people. He should stop character assassination of his political opponents,” Lone said.

He said that Abdullah was the poster boy of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier, which made him the Minister of State for External Affairs Ministry.

Lone said that no one had forgotten that not a single Muslim leader was ready to accept the BJP after the Babri Masjid incident but the father-son duo of Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah went against the wind and sat with the BJP.

“I revealed in 2019 that NC wanted to form the government with BJP in 2014 and now Devender Singh Rana who used to be Omar Abdullah’s right-hand man has revealed the same thing. Rana in an interview said that NC leadership sat for almost two and a half hours with the then BJP National President Amit Shah to form the government. So Omar Abdullah should stop labelling people,” he said.
