Art Exhibition inaugurated at Government Arts Emporium
Srinagar, Nov 2: Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage takes center stage at a three-day art exhibition organised by the Department of Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir, held at the Government Arts Emporium in Srinagar.
Open through November 4, this exhibition celebrates the vibrant artistry of renowned local artist Yousuf Naqshbandi, offering a unique window into the essence of Kashmiri culture through its traditional art forms, customs, and natural beauty.
Naqshbandi’s work brings Kashmir to life with an intimate portrayal of its customs, calligraphy and the region’s distinctive flora and fauna. The exhibition showcases a diverse collection, with highlights including evocative landscapes, scenes honoring local craftsmanship and tributes to the region's artistic heritage.

His commitment to showcasing our heritage is inspiring and crucial for preserving our identity,” remarked Mahmood Ahmad Shah, Director of Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir, who inaugurated the exhibition.
