Arshad Kaloo, Aurangzeb bereaved

Srinagar, Mar 4: Rashida Naqshbandi, wife of late Dr Abdul Rashid Kaloo of Shivpora passed away on Tuesday after a cardiac arrest.

She was the mother of noted journalists Arshad Kaloo and Aurangzeb.

She was the sister-in-law of Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Editor Mirror of Kashmir, Dr Farooq Kaloo, and Fayaz Kaloo, Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir.

She was the aunt of Mir Aijaz, Editor Kashmir Canvas.

A pall of gloom descended on the Rose Enclave area of Shivpora as her body reached there from New Delhi.

Hundreds of people from different walks of life participated in her Nimaz-e-Jinaza.

She was laid to rest at the Shivpora graveyard.

There will be no Chahrum or congregational Fateha Khawani.

The mourning will be observed for three days till Thursday, March 6.

Emotional scenes were witnessed as neighbours recalled her loving nature and philanthropy.
