Arrangements for Navratri, Baisakhi reviewed

Srinagar, Apr 3:  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of Officers at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the arrangements for festivals of Navratri and Baisakhi in the district.

During the meeting, the DC took department wise review of the arrangements to be put in place for smooth celebrations of the Baisakhi, the festival of harvest and Navratri the festival celebrated on New Year as per Hindu calendar to be celebrated with traditional enthusiasm and religious fervour on April 9 and April 13 respectively.

DC passed directions to the PDD and PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted supplies of power and water at the main Temples and Gurudwaras particularly at Sharika Devi Temple Hari Parbat, Badamwari and Gurdwara Chattipadshai.
