Arrangements for minority clusters reviewed

A video conference of the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and SSPs was co-chaired by the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Virdi Kumar Birdi and Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri to review the arrangements in respect of minority clusters and other critical areas in the wake of recent developments.

A statement of the J&K Police issued here said that all the participants gave a brief about the elaborative security measures taken in this regard. They briefed that security measures in these clusters were reviewed and stand beefed up to ensure a secure environment.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bidhuri stressed to the participants that magistracy along with the Police should put in efforts to ensure a secure and congenial environment.

IGP Kashmir V K Birdi impressed the participants to remain ever vigilant along with other security forces and constantly review the arrangements to refine the responses and device in genuine ways to prevent such attempts.

The meeting besides the DCs and SSPs was also attended by DIGs of all the ranges, SSP PCR Kashmir, SP South City Srinagar, and SP Cargo.
