Arrangements for Amarnath Yatra reviewed

Ganderbal, June 30: Secretary Rural Development Department (RDD), Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, conducted a comprehensive review of facilities being extended to pilgrims during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) at Baltal.

During the visit, the Secretary emphasized the officers of all concerned departments to ensure that the pilgrims get quality services in a total hassle-free manner.

In a meeting with the officers, the Secretary assessed the current status of facilities, including accommodation, medical services, sanitation and security.

Acknowledging the efforts made so far, the Secretary urged upon all departments to work in close coordination to address any gaps on this account. He said our prime concern should be to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience for the pilgrims thronging the UT from various parts of the country and abroad.
