Army soldier found dead in Samba

Jammu, Oct 5: An army soldier was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a private guest house in Samba district on Saturday.

Officials said that the soldier’s body was recovered from a private guest house near Vegetable Market, Samba at around 8 am.

“Deceased soldier, deployed with 22 Unit Amn Coy has been identified as Rajveer Singh, 40, resident of Nawalgarh, Rajasthan. Police sent the body to the District Hospital for post-mortem,” officials said.

“Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause behind his death and related aspects,” they said.
