On November 11-12, candidates from Baramulla were screened, followed by Ganderbal and Budgam on November 13, and Kupwara and Bandipora on November 14. Two additional days, November 16-17, are reserved for pending medical assessments.

Senior Army officials said that some positions, including clerks and select tradesman roles, are available exclusively to residents of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. In addition, the Army is holding a recruitment rally at the Advance Landing Ground in Surankote, Poonch district; it will end on November 20, offering over 350 positions.

According to a defense spokesperson, the Poonch recruitment is open to candidates from 31 tehsils across Jammu division and aims to fill 307 vacancies for Soldier General Duty and 45 for clerks and tradesmen jobs. Young people from the entire Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory are eligible to apply for clerks and tradesmen roles.

The officials said that these rallies offer Kashmir’s youth an opportunity to showcase their skills and join the ranks of the “sons of the soil” to defend their motherland. "By joining hands with the civil administration, the Army aims to provide a platform for Kashmiri youth to secure employment while contributing to their community’s well-being and the nation’s security."

A defense official overseeing the event described the recruitment rally as a beacon of hope for Kashmir’s youth, giving them a chance to serve their nation.
