Army pays tributes to soldiers
Srinagar, Jan 5: Senior officials from the Army, CRPF, and BSF paid tribute to four brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty during a tragic accident in S K Payeen, Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Saturday.
The soldiers, Havildar Hari Ram Rewar, Lance Havildar Pawan Kumar, Lance Naik Jitendra Kumar Yadav, and Lance Naik Nitish Kumar, who died in the accident, were remembered for their supreme sacrifice and unparalleled courage.
In a solemn wreath-laying ceremony held at the Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar, Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Chinar Corps, along with officials from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF), led the tributes.
The Chinar Corps, known as the Chinar Warriors, saluted the valour of the martyrs and reaffirmed their commitment to preserving peace and security in Kashmir.
