Army organises Bike Rally in Kupwara
Kupwara, July 25: The Indian Army’s 41 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) organised a commemorative bike rally on Thursday to mark the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The event paid tribute to the valiant soldiers who captured 26 strategic peaks during the 1999 Kargil Conflict.
According to an Army statement, 26 intrepid riders embarked on a journey that traced the routes of the war heroes. The rally began in Trehgam and wound its way through Regipora, Kalaroos, Sarkuli, and Z Gali before concluding at Peter-Ill.
“This wasn’t just a rally – it was a movement,” the statement emphasized. The event aimed to engage youth, foster solidarity, and honor the sacrifices made during the conflict. As the bikers traversed the scenic routes, they were joined by local citizens and young people, transforming the rally into a collective celebration of courage and patriotism.
The Army underscored the significance of the Kargil War as a testament to the bravery and resilience of India’s Armed Forces. The statement concluded with a call to action: “Let’s keep their legacy alive and continue to inspire future generations to stand tall for our nation’s honor.”
