It aims to pay homage to the brave soldiers who secured victory in the Kargil War 25 years ago. The riders will navigate challenging terrain, echoing the spirit and determination displayed by the Indian Army on the battlefield.

Organised by the Artillery Directorate, the expedition acknowledges the crucial role played by the Regiment of Artillery during the Kargil War. The team comprises five officers, four JCOs, and seventeen soldiers, including women riders from the Corps of Military Police. They were flagged off from the National War Memorial, New Delhi, on 26 Jun for the final phase, moving along the Northern route via Delhi-Srinagar and culminating at the Kargil War Memorial, Drass.
