Army holds veterans’ outreach prog across Rajouri
Rajouri, Jan 14: On the eve of Armed Forces Veterans’ Day, the army organised multiple veterans’ outreach programmes across Rajouri district. Officers of army, civil administration and police shared single platform to hold interaction with army veterans.
An ex-servicemen rally was organised at Narian by Mangla battalion under the aegis of Tithwal Brigade. Brig DKS Sharawat, Tithwal Brigade Commander along with Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Parkash Bhagat jointly chaired the event with Commanding Officer Mangla battalion, Deputy SP Headquarter Rajouri, officials from Zila Sainik Welfare Office also present in the event.
A number of army veterans, their family members attended the event wherein threadbare discussion was held on a number of issues.
Col Javed A Mir (Retd), District Sainik Welfare Officer, while throwing light on number of schemes being run by the government for the welfare of army veterans and ex servicemen called them to take full benefit of the schemes.
