Army conducts sanitisation drive in Kargil

Kargil, Nov 16: Army conducted a demining operation in Khurbathang area of Kargil district.

The army conducted area sanitisation and bomb disposal at Khurbathang, near Astroturf Football Ground. Team led by officers of engineer regiment under Forever In Ops Division disposed off 45 unexploded bombs.

The sanitisation drive to defuse the old unexploded mines was done on the demand of locals living along the area. Notably, their Engineers successfully disposed of over 45 mines, effectively quelling the safety concerns of the villagers and their livestock. Residents have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Indian Army.
