Army Chief holds joint security review meet at Nagrota

Jammu, July 4: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi chaired a high level joint security review meeting at Nagrota, during his maiden visit to J&K on July 3, to deliberate on security dynamics in Jammu region, mainly on the LoC.

“Army Commander Northern Command, GOC White Knight Corps, GOC Chinar Corps, GOC Rising Star Corps, Director General J&K Police, Additional DG CRPF, heads of intelligence agencies and representatives of security forces from the UT of J&K participated in the meeting,” Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG-PI) of Indian Army posted on ‘X’.

“The deliberations focused on the prevailing #Security dynamics in the region. The security review underscored the imperative of synergy and seamless coordination between all armed forces and security agencies to maintain peace and stability in the region,” it posted.
