The government this year declared the Amarnath Yatra routes as no-flying zones from July 1 to August 10, banning drones, balloons, and other objects.

Consequently, the SASB on June 18 announced that there would be no helicopter services for Amarnath Yatris.

All yatris planning to visit the shrine this year will have to trek on foot or avail of the services of ponies and palkis from both the Pahalgam and Baltal base camps.
