Ramban, Jun 20: In a vibrant celebration of harmony and well-being, the Indian Army (Delta Force) organised International Yoga Day at different locations of Ramban District on Friday.

According to statements issued by the Indian Army, it marked International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and vigor, highlighting the significance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being among its troops, locals and school children.

The event was attended by 212 soldiers, 176 locals and 85 school children who participated in a mass yoga session led by expert instructors at Dharmod. The sessions emphasized the holistic benefits of yoga, including enhanced flexibility, strength and stress management. The Army underscored the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines, particularly for soldiers and youth of the region who face rigorous physical and mental demands. The event concluded with a talk on the philosophy of yoga and its relevance in today's fast-paced world, encouraging soldiers and the youth to adopt yoga as a lifelong practice.

The International Yoga Day event at Dharmund was a resounding success, reinforcing the Army's commitment to holistic health and wellness. 23 RR celebrated yoga day at Trajbal Cricket ground in District Ramban. The event brought together over 200 enthusiastic students from various age groups, who actively participated in a mass yoga session amidst the serene landscape of Khari tehsil.

The session introduced participants to a range of yoga and breathing techniques aimed at enhancing mental clarity, physical fitness and inner peace. “The atmosphere was one of unity and collective energy, reflecting the spirit of yoga as a bridge between body, mind and soul. "This meaningful initiative by the Indian Army not only highlighted the timeless relevance of yoga in today’s fast-paced world but also deepened the bond between the armed forces and the local community,” it said. By promoting healthy living and emotional resilience, the Army continues to inspire citizens beyond its traditional role, reinforcing its identity as a force for national unity and social well-being. The event stands as a testament to the Army’s enduring commitment to holistic development and its efforts to bring positive change at the grassroots level through inclusive and impactful outreach, it said.
