Arif Laigroo holds workers’ meeting in Zaldagar, Habba Kadal

Srinagar, Nov 2: PDP Senior Leader, Former State Secretary and Constituency Incharge Habba Kadal, Arif Laigroo, held an important workers’ meeting at Zaldagar area of Habba Kadal.

The meeting was organised by Zonal President Tufail Bhat and attended by Ward Presidents Shakeel Ahmed, Asif Regoo, Bilal Naiku, Saabit Nauman, Aqib Bangroo, Bilal Ahmed, and other senior workers of the area.

During the meeting, leaders deliberated on various public issues. They expressed concern that Habba Kadal continues to remain neglected on developmental fronts, with dilapidated roads, poor lane conditions, and rising power bills adding to the woes of residents. The leaders also raised alarm over the growing menace of drug abuse in the constituency, said a press release.

Arif Laigroo, while addressing the workers, said: “Habba Kadal has been completely ignored on developmental fronts — roads are in ruins, power bills are skyrocketing, and youth are falling prey to drugs. The people feel abandoned as their elected representative is missing from the ground. Our priority is to reach out to every household, listen to people’s grievances, and rebuild their faith in the PDP. We are committed to making the party stronger at the grassroots level ahead of the upcoming municipal elections.” Laigroo urged the workers to intensify public outreach programmes and strengthen the PDP’s presence across all wards of Habba Kadal in preparation for the forthcoming Municipal Elections.
