Arif Laigroo calls on DC for assistance

Srinagar, Dec 25: PDP leader and in-charge of the Habba Kadal constituency, Arif Laigroo, has called on the authorities to provide immediate assistance to the fire victims in Nawa Bazaar and Islam Yaarbal.

In a statement, he stated that the recent fire incidents have left local residents in severe distress, and with the harsh cold, their lives have become even more challenging.

Laigroo said, "These are tragic events in which people's properties and life savings have turned to ashes. In these harsh weather conditions, the victims urgently need relief from the government so they can resume their daily lives during this difficult time."

He further emphasised that the administration should provide essential supplies for those left sitting under the open sky to improve their condition and protect them from the severity of winter. Laigroo demanded that affected individuals be provided with temporary shelter, warm clothing, and other necessary items to alleviate their hardships.
