Arif Laigaroo urges DC Srinagar to rehabilitate Ganpatyar Habba Kadal fire victims

Srinagar, Oct 7: PDP senior leader and former State Secretary Arif Laigaroo has urged the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to ensure immediate rehabilitation and financial assistance to the fire-affected families of Ganpatyar Habba Kadal, who lost their homes and belongings in a devastating blaze.

Laigaroo expressed concern over the plight of the victims and said the affected families are facing immense hardship, especially with the onset of cold weather.

He further appealed to the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to direct the concerned departments for swift damage assessment and release of exgratia relief so that the victims can rebuild their lives with dignity. Laigaroo also emphasized the need for a comprehensive fire safety and rehabilitation plan for densely populated areas like Habba Kadal to prevent such tragedies in the future.
